Autoprinter vs MS Order Printer

Does MS Order Printer print orders automatically? Its listing and documentation describe no automatic printing: you print from the app or the Shopify orders list, or tap Print with MS Order Printer in Shopify POS after checkout. Autoprinter prints them for you, sending packing slips and invoices to your own printers as orders come in, and prints Shopify shipping labels with zero clicks.

MS Order Printer, by Magestore, prints and downloads invoices, packing slips and refunds, in bulk from Shopify admin, Shopify POS or the app. In Shopify POS it adds a print button after checkout and a home-screen tile for past orders. Templates use a visual editor plus Liquid, with custom queries that pull extra order data.

If you print by hand, including from Shopify POS on the device, MS Order Printer may be all you need. If you want printing to happen without you, that is what Autoprinter is for.

Why choose Autoprinter over MS Order Printer

  • Prints by itself. Packing slips and invoices print when an order is placed, paid or fulfilled, with nobody pressing Print.
  • Zero-click shipping labels. Buy a label in Shopify as usual and it comes out of your label printer, with no print dialog.
  • Every document an order needs, together. The Print Chain prints each order's packing slip, invoice, return slip or gift receipt in one go: automatically, or from the order's More actions menu with Auto Print Chain.
  • Labels, sheets and receipt rolls, each on its own printer. Letter, A4, 4 × 6 labels and 80 mm or 58 mm receipts go straight to the printer that matches.
  • The right document for each order. Print Rules choose which template prints, and on which Print Station, for each order.
  • Know when printing stops. Autoprinter warns you when a Print Station stops picking up jobs, and a Shopify Flow trigger can run when a Print Station goes offline.
